The specter of condemnation

Connecticut's WTNH is reporting that the United States Supreme Court has refused to reconsider the Kelo v. City of New London emminent domain case. I think that they WILL reconsider this case, rather sooner than they expect, and regardless whether they want to or not. Their decision just went too far to be allowed to stand. [Justice Sandra Day] O'Connor, whose decision to retire created the opening that Washington lawyer John Roberts now seeks to fill, wrote in her angry dissent of June that "the specter of condemnation hangs over all property." [...] Justice O'Conner is correct, the specter of condemnation does hang over all property. She did not go far enough, however, as the specter of condemnation now hangs over the U.S. Supreme Court over this decision. It was wrong, wrong, wrong!
